Cordell Lusane
Partner · Federal cases
Cordell handles the firm’s federal cases, where the paperwork is heavy and the sentencing rules are their own language. His job, as he puts it, is to translate.
Cordell came to the firm from a federal defense practice in Washington, and he has spent most of his career in the federal courthouse downtown. He takes drug conspiracy, firearms, fraud and identity theft cases, and supervised release violations.
Before any decision, he sits down with the client and their family and works out the sentencing guidelines on paper, so nobody is surprised by a number in court.
